Former EBU Bantamweight champion Bernard Dunne collected his new car from Merlin today. As a Merlin customer Bernard received his Merlin Rewards card, which is the new customer loyalty programme recently launched by the motor company. The programme gives Merlin customers exclusive discounts from various different companies including Allianz insurance, Advanced Pitstop, Irish School of Motoring, Cassidy Travel, Mount Wolseley Hotel, Fort Lucan; and coming soon retail stores and more travel and entertainment providers. The programme sees a new standard set in customer loyalty programmes and it was very apt that one of the first recipients be such a high profile sports star. Bernard was excited to be collecting his 2008 Ford Mondeo. Lisa Nugent arrived to Merlin this morning to collect her new car and became the first member of the Merlin Rewards Programme, which will allow her to avail of the numerous discounts from various companies. Lisa was already excited to be collecting her new car and it was an added bonus to hear that she could now get discounted insurance for her new Rover MG through Allianz insurance. Not only that, but as a provisional driver she can also get discounted rates on her pre-test lessons with the Irish School of Motoring.

Saturday 16^th February 2008 marked the launch of the Merlin Rewards Programme with its very first customer, Lisa Nugent receiving her rewards card. At first this may not sound very exciting but this programme promises to be a much grander proposition than one would initially imagine.
